Even though these items seem small, don’t let their price tag fool you. Making improvements to your home is always an investment. At LBJ Construction a typical price point for a facelift remodel start at:

HGTV & their unrealistic budgets:

Basing your budget off of a TV show is never a good idea. Why you may ask? A lot of the material is donated. Brands work with the show’s network by donating their products/materials to be used in a show to gain exposure. This is known as a collaboration or a brand deal. Materials as large as countertops and appliances are all donated to be used on some of your favorite HGTV shows and are not represented in their budget.

How long does a remodel typically take?

There are many factors that can contribute to the start of your project and the completion. The size of your project, permitting, outside vendors, partnering architects and designers, and even the weather can delay work on your project. Below is a helpful outline of a timeline of a remodeling project.
