We recently completed this pool bathroom remodel that features a blue agate LED backlit slab in this Houston home that will surely blow your mind!
Our West University pool bathroom renovation showcases a fabulous LED backlit blue agate stone slab wall as the main focal point of the room. What was once a bright yet boring space is now spruced with immaculate shades of glowing blue agate. Continuing with the contemporary theme, this pool bathroom features black porcelain tile, a black granite infinity-pool-styled vessel sink, and black plumbing fixtures.
The blue semi-precious agate slab was our client's idea as she had designed this space to be a showstopping contemporary design.
Agate stone is part of the quartz family and is one of the most luxurious and rarest natural stones used for construction. Unlike granite and marble, agate slabs are softer and lighter and require a delicate approach to care and maintenance. Don't let that discourage you from adding this stone to your home.
If you have agate stone installed in your home, there are a few things you can do to care for it and keep it looking its best:
- Clean it regularly: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the surface of the agate stone. Avoid using any abrasive or harsh cleaning products that could scratch or damage the stone.
- Avoid exposure to high heat and chemicals: Agate is sensitive to high heat and chemicals, so avoid placing hot items like your hot pots and pans on the stone and keep it away from any cleaning products or chemicals.
- Protect it from scratches and chips: To prevent scratches and chips, avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the stone, and handle it with care.
By following these simple tips, you can keep your agate stone looking beautiful for years to come.
